Jing Project

An awesome project called “Jing”. Here is what TechSmith (Jing creators) have to say about it:

Think of Jing as a supplement to all your chat discussions, email threads, forum posts and blog entries. It sits nicely on your desktop, ready to capture and share your stuff at a moment’s notice. Simply select an area of your screen, capture it as an image or record it as a video, and then click Share. Jing conveniently places a URL to your content which you can paste into any of your conversations.

Basically Jing is a program that allows you to take screenshoots, make videos of your work screen and share them on the web via Screencast.com which is TechSmith’s media hosting solution. Uploading your files to the Screencast.com servers is done within the same interface making this program a complete solution, there is no need to be an expert to create and share content.

I use Jing very often to teach customers how to do specific tasks in their websites or even at work to provide support to employees. This program is quite useful and comes in two flavors: Windows and MAC; you can download it at http://www.jingproject.com/

Ohhhhh and the most important thing… Jing is FREE Software!!
